Laser/Imaging Operator/Digital Press Operator 2nd Shift(4:00pm - 12:00am)

8 Hour Shifts!/Paid Lunch!

Essential Functions:

• Examine job jacket to determine quantities to be printed, stock specifications, colors, or special printing instructions.
  


• Clean ink and keep machine clean and operational. 
  


• Collect and inspect random samples during print runs to identify any necessary adjustments after each roll.
  


• Download or select programs or files to be printed, using printing production software.
  


• Feed paper through press cylinders and adjust feed and tension controls.
  


• Input production job settings into workstation terminals that control automated printing systems.
  


• Load presses with paper and make necessary adjustments, according to paper size.
  


• Monitor automated press operation systems and respond to fault, error, or alert messages.
  


• Start printers and pull proofs to check for ink coverage and density, alignment, and registration.
  


• Control workflow scheduling or job tracking.
  


• Maintain time or production records.
  


• Estimate and deliver upon schedules and plans.
  


• Quality check own work and work of others and fill out quality checklist properly.
  


• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  


• Comply with company policies and procedures and promote company values and culture.

• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
  

Requirements

•       Skilled in Operation Monitoring —watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

•       Knowledge of Computers – applications and data processing.

•       Knowledge of the English language - structure and content of English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, and rules of composition and grammar.

•       Mathematical Knowledge –arithmetic, algebra, statistics, and their applications.

•       Skilled in Quality Control Analysis — conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

•       Skilled in Reading Comprehension — understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

•       Skilled in Active Listening — giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

•       Skilled in Judgment and Decision Making — considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

•       Strength and Endurance Ability - lifting up to 50 lbs;  standing, bending, and stooping for up to 12 hours;  using abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.

•       Ability with Arm-Hand Steadiness —keeping hand and arm steady while moving arm or while holding arm and hand in one position.

•       Ability to Perform Control Precision —quickly and repeatedly adjusting the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.

•       Ability to Act with Problem Sensitivity —telling when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.

•       Ability to Apply Manual Dexterity —quickly moving hand, hand together with arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

•       Multi-limb Coordination Ability —coordinating two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.

•       Ability to Order Information —arranging things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).

•       Oral Expression and Comprehension Ability —listening to and understanding information and ideas presented through English spoken words and sentences.  Communicating information and ideas in English speaking so others will understand.

•       Ability to Apply Selective Attention —concentrating on a task over a period of time without being distracted.

•       Ability to Discriminate Visual Color —matching or detecting differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.

•       Perceptual Speed Ability —quickly and accurately comparing similarities and differences among sets of letters, numbers, objects, pictures, or patterns. The things to be compared may be presented at the same time or one after the other. This ability also includes comparing a presented object with a remembered object.

•       Ability to Timely React — quickly responding (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears.
