We are seeking a highly qualified Lateral Associate to join a leading Antitrust and Competition team in San Francisco, CA. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-stakes antitrust matters for prominent clients while contributing to a globally recognized law firm's legacy of excellence.

Antitrust Expertise and Leadership

This position is part of an Antitrust and Competition team with unparalleled experience in navigating complex legal challenges. Highlights include:

• Civil Litigation: Representing clients in monopolization claims, class actions, and major antitrust disputes in federal and state courts.
• Regulatory Compliance: Advising on DOJ/FTC merger reviews and addressing intricate compliance requirements.
• Criminal Investigations: Defending clients in cartel investigations and criminal enforcement actions involving the Sherman Act.
• Appellate Advocacy: Achieving groundbreaking results in appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.
• Global Influence: Supporting multinational corporations in addressing cross-border competition law issues.

In this position, you will:

• Represent clients in civil litigation, DOJ/FTC investigations, and criminal enforcement matters.
• Develop and execute innovative legal strategies to address complex antitrust issues.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and briefs for high-stakes litigation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive client counsel.
• Advise clients on compliance programs, regulatory filings, and corporate governance related to antitrust concerns.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking candidates who demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:

Experience and Expertise

• Experience: 2 to 6 years of experience (law school class years 2018-2022) in antitrust litigation, regulatory investigations, or compliance matters.
• Government Service Advantage: Experience with DOJ/FTC enforcement agencies or prior government service is strongly preferred.

Educational Credentials

• Juris Doctor (JD): Degree from a top-tier, accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.

Core Competencies

• Antitrust Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of antitrust laws, including the Sherman Act, Clayton Act, and FTC Act.
• Strategic Vision: Proven ability to craft and implement innovative legal strategies.
• Analytical Excellence: Strong skills in legal research, analysis, and writing.
• Collaboration and Leadership: Demonstrated ability to work within teams and mentor junior attorneys.

Additional Attributes

• Admission to the California Bar or eligibility to waive into California.
• Experience in Federal Circuit appellate practice and criminal enforcement matters is highly valued.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
