We are seeking a highly qualified Lateral Associate to join a premier Antitrust and Competition team in Los Angeles, CA. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex and high-profile matters, including civil litigation, DOJ/FTC investigations, and criminal enforcement cases.

Antitrust Expertise and Leadership

This position is with a globally recognized law firm, renowned for its outstanding Antitrust and Competition practice. Highlights of this team's expertise include:

• Litigation Excellence: Representing clients in monopolization claims, price-fixing cases, market allocation disputes, and complex class-action lawsuits.
• Regulatory Prowess: Navigating DOJ/FTC investigations and advising on merger reviews and antitrust compliance.
• Global Reach: Providing comprehensive legal counsel to multinational corporations in cross-border antitrust matters.
• Appellate Advocacy: Influencing legal precedents through successful representation in appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.
• Criminal Enforcement: Handling matters related to cartel investigations and defense in criminal antitrust enforcement actions.

In this position, you will:

• Represent clients in high-stakes antitrust litigation before federal and state courts.
• Handle DOJ/FTC civil conduct investigations, merger reviews, and criminal enforcement actions.
• Develop innovative legal strategies tailored to complex antitrust cases.
• Draft and review motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Collaborate with top-tier legal professionals to deliver outstanding client outcomes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking candidates who demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:

Experience and Expertise

• Experience: 2 to 6 years of experience (law school class years 2018-2022) in antitrust litigation, government investigations, or compliance matters.
• Government Service Advantage: Experience working with enforcement agencies, such as the DOJ or FTC, is highly preferred.

Educational Credentials

• Juris Doctor (JD): Degree from a top-tier, accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials.

Core Competencies

• Antitrust Knowledge: Substantive understanding of antitrust laws, including the Sherman Act, Clayton Act, and FTC Act.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to craft and implement innovative legal strategies for complex cases.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and oral advocacy skills for effective representation and client counseling.
• Collaboration and Leadership: Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior associates.

Additional Attributes

• Admission to the California Bar or eligibility to waive into California.
• Experience with Federal Circuit appellate practice or criminal enforcement matters is highly valued.
• A proactive approach to solving legal challenges with a commitment to excellence.
