The Role: Lateral Associate - Antitrust | Washington, D.C.

We are seeking a highly qualified Lateral Associate to join a premier Antitrust and Competition team in Washington, D.C.. This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to work on high-stakes matters, including civil litigation, DOJ/FTC investigations, and criminal enforcement cases.

Antitrust Expertise and Leadership

This position is with a globally recognized law firm renowned for its unparalleled success in complex antitrust matters. The firm's Antitrust and Competition practice is distinguished by:

• Litigation Mastery: Representing clients in monopolization, price-fixing, market allocation, and class-action disputes.
• Regulatory Advocacy: Managing complex DOJ/FTC investigations and merger reviews with strategic precision.
• Global Reach: Advising multinational corporations on cross-border antitrust compliance and regulatory challenges.
• Appellate Expertise: Influencing legal precedents through impactful arguments in federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

In this position, you will:

• Represent clients in high-stakes antitrust litigation before federal and state courts.
• Handle DOJ/FTC civil conduct investigations, merger reviews, and criminal enforcement actions.
• Develop innovative legal strategies tailored to complex antitrust cases.
• Draft and review motions, briefs, and other critical litigation documents.
• Collaborate with top-tier legal experts and multidisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding client outcomes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking candidates who bring the following qualifications and attributes:

Experience and Expertise

• Experience: 2 to 6 years of experience (law school class years 2018-2022) in antitrust litigation, government investigations, and compliance matters.
• Government Service Advantage: Experience working with enforcement agencies, such as the DOJ or FTC, is highly preferred.

Educational Credentials

• Juris Doctor (JD): Degree from a top-tier, accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials.

Core Competencies

• Antitrust Knowledge: Substantive understanding of antitrust laws, including the Sherman Act, Clayton Act, and FTC Act.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to craft and implement innovative legal solutions for complex antitrust cases.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and oral advocacy abilities to deliver persuasive arguments and client-focused advice.
• Collaboration and Leadership: Proven ability to mentor junior associates and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Additional Attributes

• Admission to the D.C. Bar or eligibility to waive into D.C.
• Experience with Federal Circuit appellate practice or criminal enforcement matters is highly valued.
• A proactive approach to solving legal challenges and a commitment to excellence.
