The Role: Lateral Associate - Corporate - Asset Finance | New York, NY

We are seeking a highly qualified Lateral Associate to join a premier Asset Finance team in New York, NY. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to innovative financing transactions, with a particular focus on aviation finance and related asset finance matters.

Asset Finance Expertise and Practice

This position is with a globally recognized law firm renowned for its expertise in asset finance. The teams experience includes:

• Aviation Finance: Representing leading clients in aircraft acquisition financing, lease financing, and structured aviation transactions.
• Securitization: Structuring and executing complex securitizations across various asset classes.
• Borrower and Lender Representation: Advising financial institutions, corporations, and private equity firms on financing solutions.
• Cross-Border Transactions: Handling sophisticated, multi-jurisdictional finance transactions for a diverse client base.

In this position, you will:

• Advise clients on asset finance transactions, with a focus on aviation finance, securitizations, and cross-border deals.
• Draft, negotiate, and review complex financing documents, including loan agreements, lease agreements, and securitization documents.
• Provide strategic counsel to borrowers and lenders on financing structures and risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to navigate complex financing challenges and deliver innovative solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:

Experience and Expertise

• Experience: Law school graduate from 2017 to 2021 with asset finance experience at a peer firm. Exposure to aviation finance is required; securitization experience is a plus.
• Practice Areas: Expertise in structuring and negotiating asset-based lending transactions, aviation financings, and securitizations.

Educational Credentials

• Juris Doctor (JD): Degree from a top-tier, accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
