The Role: Lateral Associate - Securities Litigation | Palo Alto, CA

We are seeking an accomplished and driven Securities Litigation Associate to join a renowned Securities Enforcement Litigation Team in Palo Alto, CA. This position offers the chance to engage in cutting-edge legal work, including securities enforcement, regulatory investigations, and compliance advisory services for prestigious clients across industries.

Practice Expertise and Focus

This team is recognized for its leading role in securities litigation and enforcement. Key areas of focus include:

• Securities Enforcement: Representing corporations, executives, and boards in investigations led by the SEC, DOJ, FINRA, and other regulatory agencies.
• Regulatory Investigations: Advising on compliance with federal securities laws and addressing complex governance and disclosure issues.
• Litigation and Class Actions: Defending clients in high-stakes securities litigation, shareholder derivative suits, and corporate governance disputes.

In this position, you will:

• Represent clients in high-stakes securities enforcement and litigation matters, including investigations and compliance reviews.
• Develop and execute legal strategies for securities class actions, regulatory inquiries, and governance disputes.
• Manage discovery processes, draft motions, pleadings, and briefs, and oversee trial preparations.
• Provide guidance on compliance strategies to mitigate regulatory risks and enhance corporate governance practices.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of top-tier attorneys to deliver exceptional client service.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:

Experience and Expertise

• Experience Level: Law school graduate from 2017-2021 with proven expertise in securities enforcement, regulatory investigations, or compliance matters.
• Regulatory Focus: Substantial experience handling SEC, DOJ, or FINRA investigations.

Educational Credentials

• Juris Doctor (JD): Degree from a top-tier, accredited law school with stellar academic credentials.
• Bar Admission: Active membership in good standing or eligibility to waive into the California Bar.
