We are seeking an accomplished Tax Associate from law school class years 2018 to 2021 to join a prestigious and expanding tax team specializing in real estate matters, including REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts). This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge real estate tax matters and collaborate with leaders in the field.
Practice Expertise and Focus
The Tax Practice Group is renowned for its innovation and strategic approach to real estate-related tax issues. Areas of focus include:
Real Estate Tax Matters: Structuring acquisitions, developments, joint ventures, and dispositions for optimal tax efficiency.
REIT Transactions: Advising on formation, compliance, and tax planning for REITs.
Investment Structures: Developing innovative solutions for real estate funds and partnerships.
Tax Controversy: Representing clients in audits and disputes with tax authorities involving real estate matters.
In this position, you will:
Provide sophisticated tax advice on real estate transactions, including REITs, developments, and acquisitions.
Conduct in-depth legal research and draft tax memoranda, opinions, and transaction documentation.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address complex tax challenges in real estate.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering tailored legal strategies and solutions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who bring the following qualifications and attributes:
Experience and Expertise
Experience Level: Law school graduate from 2018 to 2021 with a solid understanding of tax law and its application to real estate matters.
Real Estate Tax Focus: Hands-on experience in REITs or real estate-related tax transactions is preferred.
Educational Credentials
Juris Doctor (JD): Degree from a top-tier, accredited law school with excellent academic performance.
Additional Certifications: An LLM in Taxation is a plus but not mandatory.

Technical Acumen: Strong skills in tax research, drafting, and strategic analysis.
