We are seeking a skilled and driven associate to join a globally recognized Finance and Business Restructuring & Reorganization team in New York, NY. This role offers the opportunity to tackle sophisticated financial matters and lead impactful legal solutions for top-tier clients in the industry.

Practice Expertise and Focus

This position is with a distinguished law firm renowned for its excellence in handling complex financial transactions and restructuring matters. Highlights include:

• Top-of-the-Capital-Structure Leadership: Representing hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds, and financial institutions in Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings.
• Liability Management Expertise: Deep experience in DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings, and special situations financings.
• Collaborative Approach: Working with the Global Finance team alongside the Business Restructuring & Reorganization practice group to deliver exceptional client results.

In this position, you will:

• Advise Clients: Represent creditors and borrowers in liability management transactions, DIP financings, and bankruptcy exit financings.
• Develop Strategies: Design and execute innovative solutions for complex financial matters.
• Draft and Negotiate Agreements: Prepare and review legal documents with precision and insight.
• Collaborate Across Practices: Work seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams on high-profile cases.
• Engage with High-Stakes Representations: Take on challenging assignments involving premier clients and transformative transactions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:

Experience and Expertise

• Experience Level: Law school graduate from 2016 to 2019 with substantial experience in liability management transactions, DIP financings, and special situations financings.
• Industry Knowledge: Proven ability to handle high-stakes restructuring matters involving leading global financial institutions.

Educational Credentials

• Juris Doctor (JD): Degree from a top-tier, accredited law school with exceptional academic performance.
• Bar Admission: Active membership in good standing or eligibility to waive into the New York Bar.
