Lathe Machinist

We’re seeking a Machinist to produce accurate, high-quality metal components in a precision manufacturing environment. This role is a strong fit for someone who takes pride in setup, machining, inspection, and hands-on problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathe equipment to produce parts according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Run Mazak machinery using Mazatrol controls to support production and custom machining needs.
• Measure, inspect, and verify completed parts to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Use hand tools, gauges, and shop equipment to complete machining, deburring, and finishing tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area while following safety, quality, and production procedures.

Qualifications

• Prior machinist experience in a metal manufacturing or machine shop environment.
• Experience operating lathes required.
• Mazak machine experience preferred.
• Mazatrol programming or control experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of precision machining, measurements, tolerances, and part inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and basic technical documentation.
• Comfortable using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, safety awareness, and ability to work independently.
