Lathe Operator (Set-up preferred)

CNC Lathe Operator (Setup Preferred) | Ham Lake, MN

Pay: $26.00–$34.00/hr (DOE) • Overtime: Occasional

LSI is hiring a CNC Lathe Operator to join our team in Ham Lake, MN. This role is for someone who can run parts efficiently, make basic program edits at the machine, and ideally handle setups with minimal assistance. No CAM programming required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts


• Load/run proven programs and verify tooling before production


• Perform tool changes, offsets, insert changes, and routine adjustments


• Make basic program edits at the control (feeds/speeds, wear offsets, minor code edits as needed)


• Set up jobs (fixturing, tooling, first-piece verification) — preferred


• Complete first-piece and in-process inspections (mics, calipers, indicators, gauges)


• Troubleshoot issues (dimensions, tool wear, finish) and correct safely


• Routine machine maintenance and maintain clean, organized work area


• Work with quality inspection to meet print requirements

Qualifications

• 2+ years CNC lathe experience (operator)


• Comfortable reading prints and holding tolerances


• Strong measurement skills and attention to detail


• Ability to troubleshoot and keep production moving


• Setup experience preferred 


• Reliable, self-directed, and safety-minded
