Laundry Aide

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all laundry items are cleaned, laundered, and presented to the highest standards. You will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our Residents by handling various laundry tasks efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

·         Collect, wash, dry, fold, and put away Resident's laundry.

·         Operate washing machines and dryers to clean linens, towels, and Resident clothing.

·         Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to established procedures.

·         Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.

·         Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.

·         Report any washer or dryer issues to maintenance in a timely manner.

·         Ensure that all laundry is completed in a timely manner.

·         Keep Resident's dressers and closets clean and organized.

·         Must be able to lift, twist, and bend.

·         Miscellaneous duties as instructed.

·         Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment at all times.

·         Reports to the Activity Director

·         Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.

·         Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean and launder items effectively.

·         Familiarity with Dementia and Alzheimer's is a plus, but not required.

·         Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.

·         Excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

·         Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

·         40 hours per week.
