Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team at [Hotel Name] in [City, State]. The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for processing and laundering linens, towels, and other hotel textiles to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met. Key Responsibilities:

• Laundry Operations:

   - Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press linens, towels, and other hotel textiles according to established procedures and standards. 

   - Operate commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines, safely and efficiently. 

   - Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, stains, and damage; remove any items that do not meet quality standards. 

• Inventory Management:

   - Maintain inventory of clean linens, towels, and other textiles, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet operational needs. 

   - Monitor linen usage and identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste. 

   - Coordinate with the Housekeeping Supervisor to replenish linen supplies as needed. 

• Quality Control:

   - Ensure all laundered items meet quality standards for cleanliness, appearance, and durability. 

   - Follow proper procedures for stain removal, fabric care, and garment handling to minimize damage and maintain the integrity of textiles. 

   - Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the Laundry Supervisor for prompt resolution. 

• Safety and Compliance:

   - Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations, including the proper handling and disposal of chemicals. 

   - Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols when operating laundry equipment. 

   - Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. 

• Team Collaboration:

   - Collaborate with other members of the Housekeeping team and hotel staff to ensure efficient operation of the laundry department. 

   - Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to coordinate tasks, share information, and address any issues or concerns. 

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in laundry operations or housekeeping preferred but not required. 

- Basic knowledge of laundry equipment and procedures. 

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards. 

- Physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy items for extended periods. 

- Good communication and teamwork skills. 

- Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
