Laundry Attendant

Description

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the washing, drying and folding of all linens and towels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Wash, dry and fold all hotel linen and towels
2. Properly use all soaps, chemicals and equipment for cleaning linen and towels
3. Clean laundry equipment, vent screens, drains and lint filters
4. Maintain and rotate a supply of clean linen and towels
5. Assist in the monthly linen and towel inventory
6. Maintain the Linen Discard Log on a daily or weekly basis
7. Keep the laundry room, Housekeeping Office and Housekeeping storage areas clean and organized
8. Expedite the delivery of linen and requested suite items to the Suite Attendants
9. Clean guestrooms when requested by management
10. Accommodate guest special requests courteously
11. Answer guest questions regarding the property and local area facilities and services
12. Responsible for knowing all hotel emergency procedures
13. Follow all hotel safety guidelines and requirements
14. Responsible for following all hotel quality assurance standards for department 
15. Responsible for the proper administration of key control for issued keys, 
16. Responsible for the proper administration of keys left by guests in suite
17. Bring all lost and found items to the supervisor’s or manager’s office for logging and storage
18. Use the L.E.A.R.N Model for all guest recovery incidents that occur
19. Always have a friendly and welcoming demeanor when interacting with our guests 
20. Notify Manager of any problems with linen and/or equipment
21. Answer the housekeeping department telephone if applicable and record messages including other employee or guest requests
22. Fill out maintenance work orders and deliver to supervisor/manager or designated area in a timely manner
23. Carry out any reasonable request by management that I am capable of performing
