Laundry Attendant

The laundry attendant must monitor and work with washing and drying machinery and operations. This includes adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps, identifying stained/damaged items and addressing them, performing cleaning and folding, and recording items laundered. These individuals must follow all company safety and security policies and work well in a team environment. This position requires physical labor, including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling in addition to walking and standing. Candidates must offer part-time availability.

Responsibilities to include:

• Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps


• Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard


• Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry cleaning machines and place in clean linen carts


• Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in load


• Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain trap after each load


• Fold cleaned articles into designated size, either by hand or using folding machine


• Maintain accurate records of items laundered


• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance


• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
