Laundry Attendant

Laundry Attendant - Full - Time, 40hrs/week

Rate of pay: $20.93 - $22.25/hour, based on experience
$1.00/hr. Weekend Differential

Available Schedules:

• Full-Time - 40 hours a week. 7:30am - 4:00pm varied weekdays & weekends with some holiday requirements

Job Qualifications

• Previous commercial laundry experience preferred but not required.


• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.


• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, Kendal staff, residents, and their families in person and over the phone.


• Ability to work independently and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laundry area.


• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, and customer service.


• Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday.


• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.


• Ability to frequently reach above, at, and below shoulder height, as well as twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, and climb stairs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform laundry tasks in assigned areas to maintain daily in-house laundry production.


• Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.


• Ensure an adequate supply of clean linen is available throughout the community.


• Prepare, coordinate, and maintain scheduled linen deliveries.


• Complete daily logs and maintain accurate records of laundry procedures.


• Monitor, sort, and rotate laundry as needed.


• Track and maintain records of laundry production poundage by usage area.
