Job Description - Law Enforcement Assistance Programs (LEAP) Coordinator

Bright Harbor Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Law Enforcement Assistance Program (LEAP) Coordinator to oversee the operations of Arrive Together and On Point programs across Ocean County. This role is responsible for case management, clinical and crisis responses, and building and maintaining strong relationships with law enforcement agencies. The LEAP Coordinator works on-site at multiple police departments throughout the week to ensure effective service delivery and collaboration.

Position Title: LEAP Coordinator
Position Type: Full Time; 35 Hours/Weekly

Department: Adult Clinical Services

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support staff, including daily check-ins, weekly guidance, and ongoing performance oversight
  • Review and triage referrals, ensuring high-risk or complex cases receive timely coordination and follow-up
  • Maintain regular communication and collaboration with law enforcement, county partners, and community liaisons
  • Monitor and manage staff caseloads, ensuring efficient use of time and resources
  • Oversee clinical responses, crisis interventions, and case management activities
  • Track and review data, benchmarks, and reports to identify trends and address program needs
  • Coordinate training and support for law enforcement personnel, including new officer orientation
  • Attend program, department, and state meetings; participate in task forces and community initiatives
  • Ensure accurate documentation, including car logs, reports, and program records
  • Plan and participate in annual Chief’s meeting, including agenda, goals, and program outcomes
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Clinical Mental Health Counseling
  • Current NJ LSW/LAC or LCSW/LPC
  • Minimum 3 three years experience in a supervisory role
  • Demonstrable, successful experience working with law enforcement
  • Demonstrated knowledge of law enforcement culture
