Job Summary
Rutherford Christie LLP is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Legal e-billing and collections specialist in Atlanta, GA. This position requires strong knowledge of accounting principles and experience in managing financial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Manage e-billing process for legal services
- Timely and accurate processing of client statements, collections and posting of payments, and billing appeals
- Expense tracking
- Maintaining accurate firm and time keeper information and rates in client portals
- Prepare financial reports and statements
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing
- Understanding and ensuring compliance with client billing guidelines and policies
- Employee training to ensure compliance with billing policies
- Generating and distributing e-billing reports to track performance and identify trends
- Communicating with clients about billing issues, collections, outstanding payments
- Communicating with e-billing technical support to resolve rejections
- Updating and managing billing platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or or related field
- Previous experience with law firm in the billing and collections department
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to accurage and attention to detail
