Job Description - Lawn & Landscape Team Member

The Grounds Guys of Milton, GA is a new, family-owned franchise looking for a motivated Team Member to help us grow our local business. You will be treated like a part of our family. You will operate brand new, top-of-the-line vehicles and equipment, and will be given new, branded uniforms. We will invest in this position, with paid training opportunities, significant professional growth potential and a bonus incentive program. For the right candidate, we intend this to be a long-term position.

As a member of our landscape crew, you will be responsible for high quality service delivery while treating your fellow team members and supervisors with respect. You must possess a strong work ethic and be able to manage time to meet deadlines effectively. We prefer experience in landscaping and previous experience working on a team, as well as proven communication skills with supervisors, fellow team members, and customers.

Specific Responsibilities:

Performs landscape maintenance duties such as mowing, fertilizer application, weed control, aeration, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, trimming, and pruning

Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to bed edgers, commercial mowers, blowers, dump trailers, chainsaws, line trimmers, and tillers

Performs landscape enhancement activities such as mulch application, plantings, top soil application, lawn seeding

Addresses clients' questions, comments, and concerns or refers clients to the Team Leader as appropriate

Assists Team Leader with route and job planning and organization, thereby ensuring sufficient resources and materials are readily available

Assists with equipment maintenance and repair under supervision of the Team Leader

Applies chemicals under the direction of a licensed applicator, and with all required protective equipment

Performs other duties as required

Job Requirements:

One year experience in this or a related field is required

Valid Driver's License with clean record

Working cell phone for daily contact and product reporting

Strong communication skills, including English speaking and writing skills, is required

Willingness to work occasional (paid) overtime

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature

Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
