Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients to assess their needs and provide recommendations
- Create and maintain beautiful lawns using a variety of equipment to apply fertilizers and weed control as well as aerate and overseed lawns
- Monitor, diagnose, and treat insect, disease, and cultural conditions
- Be proactive in anticipating what will occur under vary conditions and act accordingly
- Select appropriate product(s) or treatment(s) for the service needed
- Accurately, calibrate, and maintain equipment
- Complete applications according to DEC, label instructions and safety procedures
- Complete jobs by entering accurate data into our CRM as it relates to record keeping, DEC reporting
- Interact respectfully to all team members, clients, vendors etc.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in lawn care treatments along with appropriate state pesticide applicators license is required
- Knowledge of common cool season turfgrass types and issues
- Good understanding of insect & disease life cycles, plant biology, and soil biology
- Comprehensive experience with ride on spray, application, and aeration equipment is required
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation to & from work
- Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
