Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Lawn Maintenance Technician to join our team! You will maintain grounds by performing a variety of tasks, including mowing, edging, weed eating, blowing, and hedge trimming with the goal of creating beautiful and well-groomed outdoor spaces for our customers.
We are looking for a hard-working, team player, who is dedicated to performing quality work in all that they do. Past experience as a lawn maintenance technician is a plus but not required; however, a positive attitude is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Maintains lawns, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, and other grounds features.
- Mows and edges lawns, using power mowers, push mowers, string trimmers, and/or edgers.
- Operates powered lawn equipment, such as mowers, weed whackers, electric clippers, and pruning saws.
- Reports any maintenance concerns or unsafe conditions or repairs to supervisor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
- May move heavy objects.

Qualifications:
- Past experienced as a lawn maintenance technician a plus, but not required. Training provided.
- Experience with the use of hand-held and power tools a plus.
- Must be able to walk long distances, comfortably lift 25+ pounds repetitively, and work on your feet for long periods of time.
- Willing to work in all-weather elements.

In 1997, EDJ acquired its own two-acre nursery in the Town of Davie to better serve and provide for our customers when needed. In 2007, edj Service LLC acquired a well-established and accomplished tree trimming and removal services provider. Upon this acquisition, edj Tree Service LLC was started, cementing EDJ as a full service commercial and residential landscaping, lawn maintenance and tree services provider. In 2019, EDJ was officially recognized and certified as a women’s owned business.
The EDJ family has a wide range of experience and throughout its history has provided services for many cities, counties, homeowner’s associations and management companies, as well as for individual homeowners. As a Commercial and Residential Landscaping, Lawn Maintenance and Tree Company, our services include but are not limited to, landscape design, installation and maintenance; irrigation and drainage design, installation and maintenance; pest control and fertilization programs for lawn, hedges, trees and palms; tree and palm installation, removal (including stump grinding), and trimming; as well as, land clearing and debris removal.
