United Integrated Services (USA) Corp. was founded in Phoenix, Arizona in 2020. UIS is a U.S. subsidiary of United Integrated Services Co., Ltd. (UIS Taiwan) which was founded in Taiwan in 1982. UIS is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction company. We provide fully integrated design-build services to our clients in the high-technology industry for their manufacturing facility needs. Our scope of services includes engineering design, high-tech factory planning, and on-time equipment and material delivery in which clean-room systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and tool hook-up, are all vital parts in need of total coordination.
Summary: The Laydown Foreman will be responsible with leading and overseeing the daily laydown yard operations. In this role, you will assist with managing teams, ensuring efficiency while maintaining a safe and organized workspace, and coordinating with logistics to meet project timelines. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, experience in construction laydown operations, and a commitment to safety and productivity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead daily tasks and ensure project goals are met.
- Supervise and manage laydown teams, providing guidance and support.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the laydown yard.
- Monitor and collect fuel usage data for reporting.
- Gather inspection sheets and PTP forms for logistics administration.
- Coordinate and manage time effectively to meet crane and delivery schedules.
- Ensure laydown teams safety and efficiently offload containers and trucks.
- Train new employees, ensuring the integrate smoothly into the team and understand safety protocols.
- Lead and supervise a small team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma/GED.
- 3-5+ years of experience in laydown yard operations, logistics, or a similar construction-related role.
- 2+ years of experience as a Foreman
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities depending on project needs. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
- Ability to work in a construction site environment (trailer office).
Language Proficiency:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. May be required to travel to other sites within Arizona to perform certain work functions.
