Now Hiring: Special Education Teachers (LBS1) – Illinois Schools

We are currently seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers holding an LBS1 endorsement to join school teams across Illinois. In this role, you’ll support students with diverse learning needs through personalized instruction and thoughtful intervention. By developing and implementing IEPs that align with both state standards and student goals, you’ll help pave the way for meaningful academic progress and student growth.

Your day-to-day will involve using evidence-based practices, monitoring student performance through regular assessments, and adjusting instruction to provide the right level of support. Collaboration will be central to your work—you’ll partner with general educators, related service providers, and families to ensure every student thrives in an inclusive and structured environment.

Strong documentation, data tracking, and communication are essential in keeping students on track and maintaining compliance. You’ll also contribute to positive behavior outcomes through reinforcement and proactive strategies. This position includes responsibilities such as supporting learners with mild to moderate disabilities, adapting curriculum at the middle school level, attending IEP meetings, and participating in ongoing training and staff development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (master’s degree preferred).

Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher or in a similar setting, preferably supporting early childhood learners.

Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement (alternative credentials will not be accepted).
