Position Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision to school-based mental health counselors pursuing or maintaining licensure
- Ensure ethical evidence-based clinical practice aligned with Tennessee licensure standards
- Support clinicians with case consultation, risk assessment, crisis response guidance, and treatment planning
- Sign off on all insurance claims for individuals under your purview who are not yet fully licensed
- Deliver individual and group therapy using trauma-informed evidence-based approaches
- Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized mental health treatment plans
- Assess suicide and self-harm risk, develop safety plans, and respond to mental health crises
- Facilitate family meetings, caregiver training, and mental health education
- Maintain accurate timely clinical documentation and treatment progress records
- Collaborate with school counselors, special education staff, nurses, and community partners
- Oversee Medicaid-aligned documentation and partner with billing teams on claims and compliance
Required Qualifications
Meets Tennessee requirements to provide clinical supervision
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Familiarity with Medicaid and private insurance billing and documentation requirements
- Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Clear background check and proof of immunization status per district requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- School-based or community mental health experience
- Experience supervising early-career or provisionally licensed clinicians
- Training in TF-CBT, DBT, or other evidence-based modalities
- Experience with crisis intervention and suicide and self-harm assessment
