Job Details:
PacAero (formerly Litron), a Qnnect company, is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Lead Assembly Technician to support and lead small-scale mechanical and electro-mechanical integration assemblies. The Lead Assembly Technician will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day assembly operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and mentoring team members on best practices for precision builds in a fast-paced, high-mix/low-volume environment.
Requirements
• Perform and lead precision mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies using hand tools, fixtures, and specialized
equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, schematics, and BOMs to complete assemblies accurately.
• Train and guide assembly technicians in proper techniques, safety procedures, and workmanship standards.
• Coordinate workflow within the assembly cell to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
• Perform quality checks at various stages of the assembly process to ensure compliance with internal and customer
specifications.
• Partner with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues and im-prove processes.
• Maintain accurate records of assembly work, rework, and test data.
• Ensure workstations are clean, organized, and fully stocked with the necessary tools and materials.
• Lead daily team huddles and report performance metrics to supervision as needed.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of assembly experience, including at least 2 years in a lead or senior technician role.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, torque drivers, crimpers, soldering irons, and measurement instruments.
• Experience with small part integration and electro-mechanical assembly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity required for working with small components.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
