seeks Lead Automation Engineer – Storage Platform in San Francisco, CA:
Job Duties: Responsible for end-to-end delivery of solutions from architecture, design, implementation, execution, release, and operational support. Work with product owner and engineers to develop our storage domain roadmaps, automation frameworks, reference architectures, and artifacts while maintaining the balance between security, supportability and usability. Plan, design, and enhance storage automation framework, utilities and tools. Define a standard code promotion, branching and review strategy across public and private cloud storage infrastructure deployments. Establish test automation frameworks which are inclusive of standard programming languages and patterns such as Python and Java as well as provide an avenue for regression testing infrastructure automation. Work with the team and establish/update storage engineering standards and best practices that best fits in the storage automation framework for both public and private cloud storage platforms. Enhance and improve routine maintenance and repeatable tasks using automation code and simplify the storage infrastructure deployment/configuration at scale. Enable and enhance continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for storage platform. Participate in business partner and vendor product roadmap development as a method of realizing our vision. Showcase continuous learning and improvement with storage solutions including SAN, NAS and Data Protection (Backup) technologies. Participate in agile infrastructure software development, scrum, kanban and sprint. Participate in the architecture community of practice, BT technology talks, brown bags, etc.

ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco.

Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology and Management, Management Information Systems, or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or two (2) years of experience in the job offered OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology and Management, Management Information Systems, or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or five (5) years of experience in the job offered.
A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Information Technology and Management, Management Information Systems).
Special Skill Requirements: Two (2) years of experience using the following: (1) Python; (2) Java; (3) Git; (4) Jenkins; (5) GitLab CI/CD; (6) Terraform IaC; (7) Ansible; (8) MySQL; (9) AWS; (10) Enterprise Data Protection platforms : DellEMC - Data Domain, Networker; (11) Enterprise Object Storage platforms : DellEMC - Elastic Cloud Storage;

(12) Enterprise File Storage platforms : NetApp - FAS, DellEMC - Unity;

and (13) Enterprise Block Storage platforms : DellEMC - Symmetrix VMAX, PowerMax; PureStorage – FA. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable.
