POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Barista position is a key role within our establishment, combining exceptional beverage preparation skills, guest satisfaction, and leadership responsibilities. This individual will perform the core duties of a barista while ensuring the smooth functioning of coffee shop operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Barista Duties:
Expertly prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including frappes, smoothies, lattes, and specialty drinks.
Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all beverages.
Provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service to guests.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain inventory levels for coffee beans, syrups, dairy, and other essential supplies.
Conduct regular stock checks to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Collaborate with suppliers and management to reorder items as needed.
Stocking and Area Maintenance:
Ensure that all workstations and serving areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of brewing equipment and utensils.
Follow established protocols for cleaning and maintaining machines.
Guest Relations:
Address guest complaints or special requests professionally and effectively.
Monitor guest satisfaction and identify opportunities to improve service.
Engage with guests to create a welcoming and positive atmosphere.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Conduct routine checks to uphold standards for cleanliness and safety.
Leadership and Team Support:
Serve as a role model for baristas, demonstrating exceptional skills and professionalism.
Provide training, mentorship, and support to team members.
Assist management in daily operations and reporting key metrics.
