OVERVIEW

The Lead Barista at Alo's corporate headquarters sets the standard for the coffee program serving our executive team, employees, and guests. This is a senior craft role for someone who takes pride in the details — quality of pour, consistency of experience, and the calm professionalism of the space.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Daily operation of the HQ coffee program, including open, close, and service flow


• Quality and consistency of every drink served


• Inventory, ordering, and relationships with bean and supply partners


• Equipment care, calibration, and routine maintenance


• The experience of every guest at the bar, from executives to first-day employees

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of specialty coffee experience, with time at a respected program


• Deep technical skill across espresso, milk, and manual brew methods


• Strong palate and a point of view on sourcing and quality


• Comfort operating in a corporate environment alongside senior leaders


• A service style that is warm, composed, and quietly excellent


• Reliability and ownership — this is a program of one, not a team


• Latte art at a competition level


• Experience opening or building a new coffee program


• Background training other baristas to a high standard

The base pay range for this position is $23/hr-$24/hr which represents the current range for the non-exempt position. Please note that actual pay will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
