Job Description - Lead Behavioral Health Technician



Full-time


Description

 We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and support to a team of behavioral health technicians, ensuring high-quality care and support for individuals with mental health and behavioral challenges. 



Fulltime evening shift: 

  • Monday to Friday (3pm to 11pm)

 
Below are a few job duties to expect as a Assistant Administrator: 

1. Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the facility in the absence of the facility Administrator.

2. Must be on duty 40 hours per week and must be available by telephone after hours and on weekends when on -call.

3. Responsible for all office duties as assigned by the administrator.

4. Responsible for purchasing groceries, supplies, etc., as assigned by the administrator. The facility food manager can also purchase groceries.

5. Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.

6. Assistance or support to complete personal hygiene tasks for those identified with these needs.

7. Assistance to transfer to or from a wheelchair or walker from another location or toilet, bed, chair for those identified with this need.

8. Assistance with feeding for those identified with this need.

9. Responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.

10. Assist the administrator in staff supervision.

11. Will work on-call during the week and on weekends as assigned by the facility administrator.

12. Working hand in hand with the Behavioral Health Authority on all issues and concerns of the residents.

13. Handles client health information at a minimum necessary to document data, access and carry out responsibilities of the position, maintains client confidentiality.

14. Immediately report all abuse, neglect or exploitation and medication errors to The Wood Group’s Client Rights Officer and facility administrator.

15. Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.

16. Performs related work as assigned by the administrator.

Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma/or equivalent is required
  • Previous experience in a behavioral health setting, with a focus on leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  •  Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.

Salary Description

$18.50 per hour
