Lead Boiler Technician

Position Overview: The Thielmann Group is searching for a reliable and dedicated Boiler/Hydronic Technician who installs, maintains, and repairs hydronic heating systems. This role requires expertise in plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components, along with strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. This individual will be responsible for diagnosing problems, performing routine maintenance like burner tuning and combustion analysis, and identifying solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial heating systems.

Requirements:

• Installation: Install residential and commercial gas boilers and their associated heating pipe systems.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on boilers, burners, pumps, and other associated equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and fix problems within hydronic systems, using specialty tools, diagrams, and logical reasoning.
• Inspections: Conduct internal and external inspections of boilers and associated controls to ensure safety and proper function.
• Customer Service: Interact with customers to explain equipment options, inform them about repairs, and ensure satisfaction.
• Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and requirements, especially when working with steam and combustion systems.
• Motivation and reliability

• Able to pass a criminal background check

• Valid driver’s license

• Experience with Service Titan is a plus!

Skills & Knowledge Required:

• Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of how boilers, burners, pumps, chillers, and other mechanical components work.
• Plumbing & Pipefitting: Knowledge of plumbing, piping systems, and the ability to assemble hardware for heat piping.
• Combustion & Controls: Expertise in combustion analysis, burner tuning, and the operation of system controls.
