Lead Cabinet Designer

We are seeking a creative and experienced Lead Cabinet Designer to lead our design efforts from concept through production. The Lead Cabinet Designer will work closely with clients, our production team, and project managers to develop detailed cabinetry and interior millwork plans. This role requires deep knowledge of cabinetry design, space planning, materials, finishes, and manufacturing workflows. The Lead Cabinet Designer will ensure designs are practical for production while meeting aesthetic and functional goals. This position plays a key role in shaping our product offerings and delivering high-quality, custom cabinetry solutions on time and within client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality cabinetry and interior design plans that meet client needs and company standards
• Develop detailed technical drawings, elevations, and 3D renderings using design software
• Collaborate with project managers and production teams to ensure accurate interpretation of design plans
• Review and revise designs based on client feedback and field measurements
• Select appropriate materials, hardware, finishes, and components for cabinetry and built-in furniture
• Provide design support during client presentations and explain design intent clearly
• Ensure all design work meets applicable codes, safety standards, and manufacturing feasibility
• Maintain organized design files and documentation for production and client reference

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of professional cabinetry or millwork design experience
• Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, 2020 Design Suite, SketchUp, or equivalent
• Strong understanding of cabinetry construction methods and material properties
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal teams
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to translate client needs into practical, buildable design solutions
• Creative problem-solving mindset and strong spatial awareness
