Lead Camp Counselor - Full Time Seasonal Position Summer 2026

Seasonal/temporary position from May - August 2026.

Responsibilities:

• Assists Recreation Program Manager in the creation of daily camp agendas and assists with special projects including Family Programming.


• Communicates daily with parents/guardians of campers.


• Creates policies and procedures for the implementation of the assigned programs, activities and week-long schedules for and attendees.


• Responsible for the cleanliness, care and safety of all related areas.

Qualifications:

• CPR/AED certified (can obtain upon hire).


• Must be at least 18 years old.


• 2 years’ experience working with children in a camp or recreation setting preferred.


• Students pursuing a Recreation or related degree preferred.


• Sound physical condition to be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.


• Must be able to lift up to 60lbs.


• Strong communication skills both verbally and written.


• Must have valid driver’s license.


• Current lifeguard certification preferred, but not required.

Schedule: 

• This position works Monday - Friday and occasionally on weekends.


• Required to work Memorial Day & the Fourth of July
