Position Overview: We seek an experienced and highly skilled Lead Carpenter to oversee carpentry work, manage project workflow, and mentor a team of craftsmen. The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to deliver outstanding results in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise carpentry crews, ensuring efficiency and quality workmanship.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Execute advanced framing, finishing, cabinetry, and custom woodwork with precision.
- Plan and delegate tasks while maintaining timelines and budgets.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
- Provide hands-on training and mentorship to junior carpenters.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Troubleshoot and solve on-site challenges efficiently.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 7 years of carpentry experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, and general woodworking.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams.
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and carpentry equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and building codes.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
