Job Description - Lead Carpenter

Housewrights, a premier residential design-build firm, specializes in delivering high-quality new homes, additions, and remodeling projects to clients throughout south-central Wisconsin. Our commitment is to deliver well-designed, high-performing residential solutions that combine functional precision, technical expertise, and inspiring aesthetics—all while maintaining a strong focus on value. We are currently looking to grow our team with Lead Carpenters!

LEAD CARPENTER
As a Lead Carpenter, you will play a key role in executing remodels and new home construction projects. You’ll oversee various phases of construction while guiding other carpenters and ensuring high standards of quality are met. This is a bags-on, site-based role with leadership and supervisory responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For:

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in residential construction and remodeling.
Strong carpentry skills in framing, exterior and interior trim, and finish carpentry.
Ability to manage project sites, including material coordination and subcontractor oversight.
High self-motivation, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork.
Familiarity with Wisconsin UDC and green building principles is a plus.
