Job Description

Position Summary

MTI is looking for a Leader who knows how to lead a team, knows how to motivate, and is driven to get positive results even working alongside your team members. MTI, Inc. seeks a dependable and willing individual to lead our Chair Assembly team and help craft the finest medical chairs in the industry. Attention to detail, dependability, cooperation, and a willingness to learn is key to this role as a leader on our production team.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• Hourly, full-time, 40 hours/week
• Schedule: Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm with occasional overtime on Fridays

Qualifications

• Willing to learn new skills and tasks
• Has a positive "can-do" attitude
• Comes to work on-time
• Honesty and Dependability
• Ability to follow written instructions
• Ability to provide direction and training to others
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2+ years supervisor experience in a production environment preferred
• 3+ years experience in a production environment preferred
• Manufacturing assembly experience preferred
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead chair assembly and subassembly employees in meeting quality and finish standards
• Train fellow employees in processes and tools use
• Ensure a clean and well-maintained team work area
• Coach and lead employees in meeting MTI's standards and requirements
• Ensure team members can follow drawings and diagrams to create product pieces
• Track and manage time and attendance
• Coach and manage employees in living MTI's values

Work Environment

• A collaborative team and family environment with a focus on development and growth
• Heavy use of arms, hands, and fingers to lift parts and products, pull and shape sturdy fabrics (vinyl, synthetic leathers, etc.). This includes grasping, pulling, and releasing repetitively as an essential aspect of the position.
• Periods of standing or sitting during a ten-hour shift.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
