Responsibilities Includes

• Develop and implement engaging Montessori curriculum tailored to the needs of young children.
• Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Foster communication with parents regarding child development and progress.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students through adherence to First Aid and CPR protocols.
• Support children’s social and emotional growth while addressing individual learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational strategies and classroom dynamics.

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
• Montessori trained, in progress, or willing to begin certification process upon employment
• First Aid and CPR certification (we will help you get your certification!)
• Able to pass a background check and fingerprinting

What else do you need?

To comply with state standards, you will need varying levels of:

• Experience: approximately 2 years full time volunteer or work experience in childcare and/or education (working with children ages 0-12). Experience may be gained in an elementary school, licensed center or family daycare (number of hours varies based on education)
• Education: CDA, qualifying college credits, early childhood certificate, Montessori certificate, etc. (without Montessori certification pay starts at base rate; with Montessori certification, pay starts at $22/hr.) - ask us about available grants and scholarships for Montessori certification, early childhood associate and bachelor's degrees!
