Job Description - Lead Civil Engineer

Lead Civil Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Civil Engineer to oversee and manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion. The Lead Civil Engineer will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, ensuring project deliverables are met on time and within budget, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
Manage multiple civil engineering projects simultaneously, including planning, design, construction, and closeout.
Develop and review project proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and other project teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
Implement and maintain quality control and assurance procedures.
Prepare and present project reports and updates to management and clients.
Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in civil engineering.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex civil engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and software.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
