We are seeking a dynamic, personable, and dependable Lead Clinician (LMHP, Resident in Counseling, Supervisee or Equivalent) to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day clinical operations of our 80- bed ASAM 3.1 residential treatment facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
1. Provide administrative supervision and oversight of the on-site clinical team, including caseload assignment, performance management, and ensuring timely completion of clinical documentation
2. Assists with and has a working knowledge of the admissions and discharge processes, collaborates to determine clinical necessity (including preauthorization, admittance, continuation, and discharge) for individuals in FHMC programs to ensure accuracy of treatment placements.
3. Leads or delegates and oversees consumer treatment team meetings as indicated per program criteria, reviews or completes service plan reviews at intervals consistent with program requirements/expectations, and reviews or completes service authorization requests with external payors when indicated to determine if program requirements continue to be met.
4. Engages in active supervision per state requirements for their profession.
5. Adheres to established standards of practice within scope of practice for Resident in Counseling or equivalent.
6. Provides behavioral health care services to participants during all hours of program operation per program. Active participant in on-call/crisis clinical services under the supervision of Clinical Director.
7. In conjunction with the Executive Team and Risk Management Department, assist in monitoring the health and safety management of treatment programs.
8. Through review of medical information and recommendations, and in collaboration with medical, case management, and other treatment team members when indicated, ensures stability of individuals being admitted or seeking admission to assigned programs.
9. Conducts pre-admission interviews with individuals seeking admission for programs for which this is indicated.
10. Assists in the monitoring of the discharge planning process to ensure adequate referrals are made for participants leaving Fairview programs.
11. Engages in the development of person-centered individualized service plans in collaboration with the client and with his/her family when appropriate (with resident’s consent), assesses and documents progress with goals and objectives, and revises service plans as needed.
12. Maintains accurate, current, and complete documentation of services provided in compliance with agency, program, licensing, policies, procedures, standards, and expectations. Acts as a liaison to the LMHP and Quality team to ensure timely entry and review/revision of clinical documentation.
13. Participates in coordination of all services for clients including assurance of active recipient involvement in all aspects of care coordination in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders and partnering community agencies.
14. Assesses and documents client progress in conjunction with treatment team.
15. Initiates and implements person-centered individualized service plans and related information.
16. Monitors accountability of participants in daily programming, participates in activities with residents when needed, and communicates problems, issues, or concerns to the treatment team.
17. Assists clinical staff with daily program scheduling by supervising clients in assigned activities when indicated.
18. Adheres to all policies and procedures of Fairview and the rules and regulations and applicable state laws, and observes expectations of the employee handbook and the code of ethics of the profession.
19. Performs relevant job duties as assigned by supervisor.
20. Functions as a liaison between clinical and other departments for CQI, QA, and culture improvement and backs up other team members as assigned.
21. Works with other staff and departments, including with Program Director and Executive Team to ensure the appropriate level of consumer participation (census, etc.) to meet program requirements (quality of services, documentation, staffing, training, etc.)
22. Works in conjunction with QA department on CQI initiatives and assists/oversees the implementation of CQI plan as assigned.
23. Participates in meetings with stakeholders when assigned.
