The Position:

We are looking for a Lead Clinician, who is willing to embrace McKinley's mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The Lead Clinician is responsible for coordinating clinical services, train new clinicians, and supervise clinical staff in the Unaccompanied Children's Shelter (UCS).

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range we're offering is $85,000- $94,000 annually depending (Based) on experience.

Qualifications:

Be an LCSW or LMFT and registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences; and
2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience or a master's degree or Ph.D. in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement; and
Two years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience; and
Five years clinical employment experience in the behavioral sciences.
The Lead Clinician must have supervisory experience and be licensed to provide clinical services in the state where the care provider is located.
Prior mental health and residential treatment experience strongly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office-related software
Possess superior oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
Detail oriented and organized
Able to work independently and organize multiple projects with minimum supervision
Able to work as a team member
Able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professional boundaries with clients and staff
Able to represent the agency professionally and appropriately with all constituencies
Bi-Lingual (Spanish) highly preferred
Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening
Ability to commute to various sites on and off campus
Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel
Ability to lift 10 pounds
VACCINATIONS REQUIRED: Be able to show proof of immunization or immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route, including:

Varicella: two doses of varicella vaccine (at least four weeks apart) OR born in the United States before 1980 with a reported history of chickenpox (verified by an adult present at the time of illness) OR titers indicating varicella immunity OR documentation from a healthcare provider verifying previous infection.
MMR: two doses of MMR vaccine (at least four weeks apart) OR titers indicating immunity to all three diseases.
Tdap: one Tdap dose.
Influenza: one dose annually during flu season.
CLEARANCES REQUIRED:

DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the supervisor of clinical care in the UCS.
Provide mental health guidance regarding services including family therapy, individual counseling, and specialized groups as needed.
Consult with an interdisciplinary team for initial assessments and treatment needs in collaboration with the Program Director.
Meet with each clinician for individual supervision at a minimum total of 1 hour weekly or as indicated.
Provide 2 hours of group supervision weekly.
Oversee, monitor, and advise on the mental health plans for UC seeking a safe release.
Initiate and maintain contacts with the Lead Case Manager, establishing unified plans aimed at reunification or other appropriate treatment goals.
Provide the Program DIrector with information regarding a UC's progress towards safe release.
Believe that people can change; demonstrate an ability to understand the psychosocial needs of UC.
Understand the need to set limits and intervene in an emergency, or refer situations to UC staff for assistance.
Provide consultation as needed to leaders of UC group meetings.
Maintain coordination with the Program Director to provide written quarterly reports and discharge reports and participate in joint planning as necessary.
In collaboration with the Lead Case Manager, maintain contact with school personnel regarding each UC's academic performance and behavior and attend meetings as indicated.
Meet regularly with an interdisciplinary team to discuss treatment objectives.
Provide crisis intervention.
Remain on call for clinical coverage and emergencies.
Participate in chart reviews and other Quality Assurance (QA) functions.
Maintain all required documentation on a timely basis and in accordance with contractual and regulatory standards.
Attend all required supervision, department and agency meetings.
Take responsibility for on-going development of professional skills.
Attend all required agency training.
Participate in the agency's Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) plan as assigned.
Other related duties as assigned.
