The Rotary & Mission Systems Chief Data & Analytics Office (RMS CDAO) is responsible for transforming RMS into a data-driven organization, where data is treated as a strategic asset. Big Data, Business Intelligence, Data Governance, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning are at the forefront of our digital transformation to drive tangible business improvements. This position will serve as the Lead Data Architect for RMS 1LMX Data Migrations.

The Lead Data Architect will be a hands-on technical leader within the RMS Chief Data & Analytics Office charged with collaborating with other technical leaders to develop data architectures, strategies, and roadmaps to successfully migrate RMS data from legacy systems to 1LMX enterprise solutions. This role will be a thought leader to business leaders and data professionals alike. They will leverage their experience to drive improvements to best practices and operating models.

The work location for this position is virtual and this role can be performed from anywhere in the continental United States.

Basic Qualifications:

 Ability to implement technical strategy

 Demonstrated experience leading the development of cutting-edge data platforms and analytics products

 Strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills with demonstrated success translating business problems into data problems especially for non-technical stakeholders

 Experience demonstrating to stakeholders how analytics can be implemented to maximize business benefits; provide strategic consulting, needs assessment, scoping of project, and clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and explain models

 A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or other relevant area

Desired Skills:

 Prior Aerospace & Defense industry or Federal experience

 Prior Lockheed Martin experience

 Prior Rotary & Missions Systems experience

 Extensive familiarity with existing RMS business systems, especially SAP

 Prior consulting experience

 Experience working with virtual teams

 Demonstrated ability to perform and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

 Experience implementing, upgrading, migrating, and/or retiring data, analytics, or AI platforms, such as SAP HANA, IBM Cognos, SAP Business Objects, SAP Business Warehouse (BW), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Grafana, Cloudera, Hortonworks, Databricks, AWS S3, AWS EMR, Apache Spark, Apache Hive, Presto, Dremio, Neo4j, and Domino.

 Experience with one or more agile management tools, such as Jira, Team Foundation Server, Git, Rentouch, ServiceNow, etc.

 Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or other relevant area

 Prior Aerospace & Defense industry or Federal experience\\

Ability to Work Remotely:

Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $125,900 - $237,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $109,500 - $209,900 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
