Job Description - Lead Data Product Management Consultant

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Product Management Consultant to work in the Consumer Data Products (CDP) group within Consumer Data, Analytics, & Artificial intelligence as part of Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB). This product area delivers platform capabilities, analytic tooling, and resources to the analytics community that directly support their ability to leverage Wells Fargo data assets for insight generation.

This Lead Data Product Management Consultant will work in the Analytic Enablement (AE) team supporting the Consumer lines of business. . The Analytic Enablement (AE) team ensures the global consumer analytics community (~3000 people) has the platforms, tools, resources, and data to be highly effective. This position is highly focused on ensuring analytics teams have the data they need to be highly effective and efficient.

The Analytic Enablement team is energetically driving the modernization of data and analytics at Wells Fargo and has a strong track record of delivery that is aligned to the strategic priorities of the business. The most important characteristic of the team and its strategy is its intense focus on the success of the analyst. As such, the AE team is delivering products that will set the standard for analytic capabilities across the firm.

In this role, you will:

Own and/or support a key analytic product within the AE product portfolio, which includes product design, story/requirements writing, backlog management, hands on user-acceptance testing, demonstrations, and engagement with users to understand needs

Lead complex data product initiatives, including those that are cross-functional with broad impact, and act as key participant in large-scale planning driving data enablement and capabilities across platforms and utilities

Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term data product initiatives that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors to drive data enablement strategies and roadmaps, while adhering to set data governance and standards

Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of data, analytics, and integration needs of line of business partners to inform prioritization, roadmap, and architecture design, that influence and lead broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to ensure data product solutions are built for optimal performance and design analytics applications across multiple platforms, resolve data product issues, and achieve goals; may lead projects, teams or serve as a peer mentor

Provide strategic input on new use case intake, prioritization, product roadmap definition, and other critical business processes

Manage complex datasets continuously focusing on the consumers of the data and their business needs, while adhering to set data governance

Create and maintain data product roadmaps throughout the data product life cycle with detailed specifications, requirements, and flows for data capabilities

Design and maintain innovative data products, enabling data availability for data intelligence, analytics, and reporting

Serve as a strategic liaison between data management, product teams, data engineering, and architecture teams throughout the data product life cycle

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge of the modern data stack and experience with data and analytics technologies such as Teradata, Hadoop, Google BigQuery, Tableau, Alteryx, Spark, etc.

Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to construct PowerPoint presentations for executive communications

2+ years of SQL experience

Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications

1+ years of data modeling experience

Proficiency with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau

Experience with the agile scrum framework

Experience working in a product team

High degree of intellectual curiosity and desire to learn and discover

Experience working with data in the financial services industry

Experience developing and publishing content with SharePoint and Confluence

Previous experience designing web sites, sharepoint, or confluence user interfaces.

Job Expectations:

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

This position offers a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range:

Salary range is determined by location of the job. May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights, or other long - term incentive awards.
