Accountabilities
- Advise clients on global privacy laws, including U.S. frameworks, GDPR, and other international standards.
- Guide clients through compliance strategies for data protection, breach response, data retention, and more.
- Draft and negotiate privacy-forward agreements such as MSAs and data protection addenda.
- Develop internal and external privacy tools, training materials, and accountability structures.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to both legal and business stakeholders across industries.
Requirements
- 8+ years of deep experience in privacy and data security, with a global lens.
- Prior tenure at an AmLaw 200 firm or similar high-caliber boutique environment.
- Strong working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and global data protection regimes.
- Certifications in privacy (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E) are strongly preferred.
- J.D. from a top-tier law school.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client service skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
