About the Position: The Lead Day Porter is responsible for overseeing day-to-day janitorial operations at a specific property, ensuring that facilities remain clean, safe and welcoming. This role combines hands-on cleaning duties with a leadership responsibility, including coordinating staff, managing supplies, and responding to maintenance needs.

Lead Day Porter General function:

• Ability to supervise and coordinate the work of the day porter staff across assigned areas.
• Train new porters and provide ongoing guidance and performance feedback.
• Communicate effectively with building management and tenants to address concerns or requests.
• Oversee and maintain supplies for the property.
• Continuously walk the property to inspect all public areas for cleanliness.
• Perform cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning cobwebs, wiping down surfaces, restrooms cleaning, etc.
• Clean exterior surfaces of windows, windowsills, and doors.
• Remove and/or clean up any debris or soil, such as stickers, chewing gum, coffee spills, graffiti, etc.
• Notify the supervisor in case there is a need for repairs.
• Required to always wear the appropriate safety equipment for the task, which includes gloves, goggles, a safety vest, and any other safety equipment that the task requires.

Lead Day Porter Qualifications:

• Janitorial experience a MUST
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Meet the physical requirements: constantly walking,      climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, reaching over the shoulder, lifting,      and carrying.
• Constant weight – 1-35 lbs. Occasional weight – 36-50      lbs.

Physical Requirements:

· Constant need (100% during production time) to be on foot.

· Ability to bend/stoop/squat/kneel.

· Climb the stairs.

· Push, pull, and reach over the shoulder.

· Grasp and grip.

· Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
