Lead Developer - Tilebase MMO Game

About Us: 
We are a funded startup that is building a futuristic and story-driven isometric 2D modern pixel art MMO game in the Metaverse. 
Players will be able to socialize and interact with one another, fully customize their character, acquire and furnish virtual rooms in skyscrapers, earn unique achievements, embark on challenging quests in the open world, take part in minigames, level up professions, participate in global events, and more. 

Summary: 
The Lead Developer must be experienced in the gaming industry, and have the mindset of a leader which other developers can rely on. You will be fully responsible for other developers which imply reviewing other developers code, while also working on your very own. 

Responsibilities: 
- Help build a strong development team that will deliver the vision for the project. 
-Manage, support, and mentor the development team to deliver high-quality code and solutions. 
- Schedule and set deadlines for tasks. 
-You will be vigilant for and resolve new problems, delays and risks to the delivery of the team's objectives. 





 

Languages required:
-JavaScript ES6.
-SQLite3.
-HTML5 Canvas.
-Isometric 2d Game Engine.
-NodeJS. Nice to have:
-Interest in blockchain/metaverse.
-Interest in gaming, and be able to come up with ideas. 

Qualifications: 
- Bachelor’s Degree in Game Development or related field, or equivalent work experience. 
- 4+ years of professional experience as a Lead Developer. 
- Experience leading a development team (in-house and/or contractors). 
- Good and time available to answer other developers questions throughout the day if needed. 
- Game development experience.
- Fluent in English.
