Job Description - Lead Developmental Disabilities Nurse (LPN)

Developmental Options is looking to hire a lead nurse for our ICF/ID community. We are a private non-profit company serving the Pocatello area.  This position works in the Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF) or sometimes referred to as a group home. 



As the lead nurse you would be involved in the care, coordination, and treatment of residents in our group homes. The position is full-time, work will primarily take place in the group homes and main office. Your schedule can be flexible and variable but ultimately will be determined by the needs of the residents in our care. Apply today to join our team and become a central part to our company!



Summary


As lead nurse this candidate will be comfortable with directing a medical team, coordinating care for our residents, managing training and directives for our staff, and show exceptional character. Ideal candidates will have the ability to navigate a variety of patient diagnoses and be able to work effectively in a team to determine long-term goals to aide in providing optimal care for our residents. They will be comfortable in working with other medical providers in the community, such as doctors, clinics, and pharmacies. 



Qualifications



  • Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Idaho.

  • Two (2) years of nursing experience, experience in a long-term care setting or DD position preferred.

  • Prior experience in a managerial or lead nurse position preferred.

  • Obtain, or be able to obtain, and maintain current BLS CPR.

  • Licensed driver in the state of Idaho with an overall clean driving record.

  • Must be able to pass a background check as approved by the Department of Health and welfare.



Work Schedule:  Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, specific work hours will be determined at hire based on candidate and company's needs with the majority of work taking place during business hours. On-Call duties as assigned.



Pay: Pay will be dependent on experience and licensure. Ranging from $25-$31.



Benefits:  All employees accrue paid vacation and sick time after 6 months of employment.  Other benefits are available (medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, short-term disability insurance) based on position.  After 1 year of employment, qualified staff have the opportunity to participate in the 401k (retirement) contribution with Developmental Options matching up to 5%.
