Lead Educator / Outreach Specialist

**This role in Reno, NV is currently part-time with an opportunity to become full-time.**

About you and the role.

This role requires an individual that is highly organized and self-motivated. Should also be able to meet mutually agreed upon goals and deadlines within the role. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Paramedic with a critical care background and education experience with the flexibility to travel to various destinations throughout the United States.

What you will do.

• Onsite Campus Operations
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the assigned education campus, including but not limited to:
  • Maintaining a schedule of instructor courses.
  • Working with the Education Operations Manager to ensure that all open educator shifts are filled.
  • Report Maintenance requests and follow up through completion with the Building Manager; Maintain a working relationship with IT to address technical issues.
• Campus Logistics
  • Maintain inventory of disposable educational items. Maintain inventory of reusable equipment and provide for maintenance of the same.
• American Heart Association Instructor
  • Will be responsible for instructing and coordinating additional instructors as needed for all aspects of AHA courses (BLS, ACLS, PALS, HEARTSAVER)
• Educational Systems Support
  • Will have a working knowledge of education specific systems ie: Fisdap, Regfox, AHA, Google Drive, Canvas and others. Will be able to provide support to other team members and students with these systems.
• Records Management
  • Will be responsible for adhering to BPM policy regarding records management for all student records maintained at the Bozeman campus and online.
• Simulation Apprentice
  • You will be part of our world class mobile simulation team and will be traveling with us as we provide experiential education nationwide.
• Campus Marketing
  • You will post on social media, post fliers and attend local events to drive learners to the campus. You will also contact and build relationships with local clinics, medical offices, hotels, businesses offering our services for training.
• Other duties as assigned, instructed, or directed

In the first 90 days

• You will obtain instructor certification in all three disciplines of AHA (BLS, ACLS, PALS)
• You will attend internal instructor academy training levels one and two.
• You will attend a simulation academy and begin the apprentice process.
• Develop user level knowledge of our simulators and facilities.
• Attend 100% of Bozeman based promotional prehospital events.
• Attend 50% simulation events.

In the first 120 days

• You will attend at least 1 EMS conference as a vendor for education.
• You will foster a relationship with local hospitals, clinics, and urgent cares centers for clinical experience time for our EMT students.
• You will become familiar with CQI processes for our response department
• Be responsible for one section of our hybrid EMS refresher course.
• Lecture level instructor for EMT

Key Measurables

• 50% NMC events attended
• 100% prehospital promotional events attended
• Instructor academy level 1 and 2 attended
• 10 contacts established with local EMS, fire departments, clinics, hotels etc.

Top Candidates

• Have 10+ years of Paramedic / Flight Nurse experience
• 3-5 years experience with adult education / course development
• Demonstrable experience with an accredited program
• Project management lead experience
• AHA instructor status in 3 disciplines
• PHTLS instructor

Entry Candidates

• 5+ Years experience as a Paramedic / Flight Nurse
• Have a solid understanding of prehospital education
• Have experience with adult education
• Logistical support experience
• Must have managed a budget of at least $250,000.00
• Experience in recruitment, retention and management of 5-10 personnel.
