Job Description - Lead Engineer Tech - HVAC Certified @ Residence Inn Landfall

Description

 

Lead Engineer is responsible for maintaining the overall operations of the maintenance team. Be a leader in this role and be able to take the control. You will interact on daily basis with management, guests, and staff. You will be responsible for exemplifying the Hotel's Culture and team leadership.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience for hotels/restaurants/apartment/commercial properties
  • Computer literate
  • Skilled at recognizing potential safety hazards and security problems and act upon them immediately.
  • Excellent people engagement skills and problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, delegate tasks and step up and perform tasks 
  • Command of the English language including speaking, writing and reading
  • Flexible availability for AM/PM, weekends, and holidays.
  • 18 years or older
  • Customer service oriented
  • Be able to maintain inventory controls and make orders when necessary
  • Be able to coordinate and plan weekly, monthly and yearly tasks and projects
  • Be CPO certified or willing to become certified. 
  • Clean and maintain function of swimming pool. 
  • Experience performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· The expectations of this position require a 40 hour work week which includes weekends/evenings (Saturday and/or Sundays)

· Ensures complete guest satisfaction in a friendly and helpful manner

· Maintains HVAC, boilers, electrical, carpentry, dry walling, painting, plumbing, roofing and landscaping

· Preventative maintenance for hotel product quality standards

· Responsible for checking and maintaining systems for AC/TVs, lighting, and making repairs or replacements as necessary

· Clean and maintain swimming pool.

· Must have or have had CPO and/or willing to take classes to be recertified (property will cover this cost)

· Doing follow up inspections/checking/making repairs on general plumbing systems, toilets, fixtures, sinks kitchen and laundry equipment.

· Refurbishes, painting, repairs furniture in guest rooms, public space and office/staff areas

· Pitches in and trouble shoots problems on a proactive basis and helps co-workers as a team player

· Supports established policies and procedures for Corporate and Brand Standards

· Supports hotels training needs and efforts

· Keeps full property in a condition that meets or exceeds Quality Assurance Audits

· Participates in hotel safety procedures and Safety Committee meetings

· Certifications/License for HVAC repairs, plumbing, electrical and swimming pool. 

· Duties are subject to change and additional responsibilities/tasks may be assigned as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to stand up and move about the facility for the majority of shift
  • Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to frequently handle objects and equipment to maintain the facility
  • Must have valid Driver’s License
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Must be HVAC certified - this is a deal breaker!
