ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Lead Estimator to join our team supporting Fluor on their Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project! This position is full-time and will be based out of Aiken, SC.

Responsibilities

• Review source data including engineering documents Work with Volume III Lead to develop estimating plan and handbook.

• Identify scope of work areas that require subcontract support or specially engineered equipment, and work with Supply Chain to write specifications and obtain pricing.

• Identify scope of work areas that require subject matter expertise, and work with Proposal Manager to identify appropriate SMEs.

• Select appropriate estimate methodologies.

• Oversee development of detailed estimates.

• Participate in review process and ensure comments and feedback are implemented.

Requirements

• Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree in and 20+ years of experience in engineering, construction, operations, estimating, scheduling, project controls, proposal development, and/or project management, extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.

• Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.

• Experience in engineering, construction, operations, estimating, scheduling, project controls, proposal development, and/or project management.

• Experience developing multi-billion-dollar cost estimates.

• Specific experience leading cost estimates for heavy industrial (e.g., chemical processing, oil and gas) and/or nuclear facilities.
