Job: Lead Facilities Maintenance Technican (Full-Time)

Employer: Vanguard Resources, Inc. (VRI)

Classification: Hourly/non-exempt

VRI Client/Job Site: The American Heart Association (AHA) National Center, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231  

Schedule: Typically, Monday - Friday, during standard business hours, unless business needs or emergency situations occur

(VRI) – an industry-leading facilities management company, in business for over 30 years, (still family owned & operated), is actively recruiting for a skilled & experienced Lead Facilities Maintenance Technican to support the maintenance operation, and safety of our Client's corporate office building(s), in Dallas, TX. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence and help guide a team of technicians and ensure the building’s systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with all safety standards. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in coordinating the daily operations and maintenance of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security systems.

-Assist in coaching additional team members; other maintenance technicians - providing training, and support

- Complete preventive maintenance initiatives to optimize system performance and longevity.

- Respond promptly to maintenance issues, emergencies, and tenant requests to minimize downtime and ensure occupant safety.

- Assist in monitoring building systems’ performance, analyze data, and  for energy efficiency and cost savings.

- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental standards.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for specialized repairs and upgrades.

- Assist in budgeting, procurement, and inventory management for maintenance supplies and equipment.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a facilities maintenance team lead, or similar role in commercial buildings.

- Working knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Polite, professional and approachable demeanor

- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.

- HVAC license is required.

- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Requirements

 

  • High school diploma or GED required. Vocational or technical training is a plus.
  • Must hold an EPA 608 Universal and HVAC Certification.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in general building maintenance; preferably in lead or senior tech role

         -  experience in a corporate office environment strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with other employees, the Client, vendors, and management.
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient with building mechancial, electrical and plumbing disciplines
  • Ability to analyze system operations, determine causes of problems, and take corrective actions.
  • Ongoing training and certification renewals are required to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, which include: stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Possess a current, valid State-Issued Drivers License with clean driving record
  • OSHA 10 certification is preferred, but not necessary
  • Proficiency with technology, including using a computer for work orders and communication.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check (including a motor vehicle search). 

Salary Description

$32-$35 per hour/ DOE
