Job Description - Lead Field Service Electronics Technician

## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nEaton\u2019s Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Division is currently seeking a Lead Field Service Electronics Technician to join our team of world-class customer service professionals. This position is based in the greater Bridgeport, WV area.\n\nThis is a remote position based from a home office with daily travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays. Company vehicle provided.\n\nEaton\u2019s Critical Power Solutions Division delivers the confidence of uninterrupted power when it matters most. As a Field Service Electronics Technician you will provide on-site support, offering emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance to ensure peak performance and reliability. From mission-critical facilities to complex energy management challenges, we partner with customers as trusted advisors, delivering innovative solutions and technical expertise that safeguard operations and maximize uptime.\n\nAnticipated salary: $69,000 - $101,000 a year. Begin your journey with industry-leading OSHA and NFPA 70E electrical safety training to ensure you work confidently and responsibly.\n * Participate in annual safety audits and ongoing compliance programs - because your well-being matters.\n * Competitive salary and benefits package including 401K, ROTH, medical, dental, tuition reimbursement, paid holidays, vacation, 6 weeks of paid parental leave, and guaranteed 2 weekends off per month\n * Resources include a company vehicle, laptop, hand tools, AMEX, meters and smartphone.\n * Award winning efforts to recruit and support military veterans and their families.\n * This is more than a job - it\u2019s an opportunity to make an impact on how the world powers its future.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nThis role could be the next step in your career if you demonstrate the following experience:\n\n * High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.\n * Two (2) years of power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics experience including relevant coursework and internship experience.\n * Posses and maintain a valid and unrestricted State Driver\u0027s license.\n * Must undergo and pass customer entrance requirements as needed, which may include, but is not limited to, periodic background checks and drug screenings.\n * Daily travel to customer sites is required, utilizing an Eaton-provided fleet vehicle.\n * Provide support for customer needs outside the immediate region within the USA for a minimum of three (3) weeks per quarter.\n * Must perform physical tasks as needed, including assisted lifting/carrying 50+ lbs., pushing/pulling, standing for extended periods, climbing, squatting, bending, kneeling, and driving long distances.\n\n\n\nYou will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following:\n\n * Associate\u2019s degree in electrical or electronics from an accredited institution, current enrollment in a bachelor\u2019s degree engineering program at an accredited institution or applicable military training and experience.\n * Three (3)+ years experience working with power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics.\n * Electrical Technology Certificate.\n * Ability to read electrical component schematic drawings and apply troubleshooting, testing, and repair techniques.\n * Strong understanding of electrical theory, battery systems, and single- and three-phase circuits.\n * Strictly follow company/customer safety rules for a secure work environment.\n * Collaborate with Field Service Technicians, taking direction from on-site leads.\n\n\n\n## We will not consider candidates who:\n\n * Reside outside the greater Bridgeport, WV area. Active-duty military applicants are exempt from this location requirement.\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
