Job Description - Lead Field Service Electronics Technician

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Lead Field Service Technician. This role is located out of Franklin,MA. \n\n \nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $69,000 - $101,000 a year. \nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n \nAs a Field Service Electronics Technician you will provide on-site support, offering emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance to ensure peak performance and reliability. Begin your journey with industry-leading OSHA and NFPA 70E electrical safety training to ensure you work confidently and responsibly. \n\u2022 Participate in annual safety audits and ongoing compliance programs - because your well-being matters. \n\u2022 Competitive salary and benefits package including 401K, ROTH, medical, dental, tuition reimbursement, paid holidays, vacation, 6 weeks of paid parental leave, and guaranteed 2 weekends off per month \n\u2022 Resources include a company vehicle, laptop, hand tools, AMEX, meters and smartphone. \n\u2022 Award winning efforts to recruit and support military veterans and their families. \n\u2022 This is more than a job - it\u2019s an opportunity to make an impact on how the world powers its future.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nThis role could be the next step in your career if you demonstrate the following experience: \n\u2022 High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. \n\u2022 Two (2) years of power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics experience including relevant coursework and internship experience. \n\u2022 Posses and maintain a valid and unrestricted State Driver\u0027s license. \n\u2022 Must undergo and pass customer entrance requirements as needed, which may include, but is not limited to, periodic background checks and drug screenings. \n\u2022 Daily travel to customer sites is required, utilizing an Eaton-provided fleet vehicle. \n\u2022 Provide support for customer needs outside the immediate region within the USA for a minimum of three (3) weeks per quarter. \n\u2022 Must perform physical tasks as needed, including assisted lifting/carrying 50+ lbs., pushing/pulling, standing for extended periods, climbing, squatting, bending, kneeling, and driving long distances.\n\nWe will not consider candidates who: \n\u2022 Reside outside the greater Boston, MA area. Active-duty military applicants are exempt from this location requirement. \n\u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.\n\n## You will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following:\n\n\u2022 Associate\u2019s degree in electrical or electronics from an accredited institution, current enrollment in a bachelor\u2019s degree engineering program at an accredited institution or applicable military training and experience. \n\u2022 Three (3)+ years experience working with power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics. \n\u2022 Electrical Technology Certificate. \n\u2022 Ability to read electrical component schematic drawings and apply troubleshooting, testing, and repair techniques. \n\u2022 Strong understanding of electrical theory, battery systems, and single- and three-phase circuits. \n\u2022 Strictly follow company/customer safety rules for a secure work environment. \n\u2022 Collaborate with Field Service Technicians, taking direction from on-site leads.\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for job applicants and employees.
